Corporate and Manufacturing
G.W. Mitchell & Sons is well known as a "top shelf" contractor of corporate facilities. It is our everyday practice to take care of our clients' construction needs whether they are in the early stages of planning, in the process of construction or after the building is complete. Mitchell is the contractor of choice for fortune 500 companies as well as local corporate firms.

Some examples of corporate construction include the headquarters building for Clear Channel Worldwide, new data center and office building for Clear Channel Worldwide, new manufacturing facility and office for Harris Communications, renovations and additions at H.E.B. corporate headquarters Arsenal facility and new corporate manufacturing and offices for Colin Medical.

Education
We believe in giving our children the best education possible, which is why the people of G.W. Mitchell & Sons take pride in constructing the latest state of the art educational facilities available today.

G.W. Mitchell successfully completed his first school project (Floresville School) in 1926. Since that time, G.W. Mitchell & Sons, Inc. has continued that success having built for most of the San Antonio area school districts, including 3 new high schools, 6 middle schools, and 19 other school district projects.

Mitchell has also completed a substantial amount of construction on college and university campuses. These include 18 projects at Trinity University (most notably Laurie Auditorium) several projects at Alamo Community College District, Incarnate Word University, Texas A&M College Station, Southwest Texas State University (now Texas State University) and the University of Texas System. One of the most notable educational facilities completed by Mitchell is the original U.T. Health Science Center complex at the South Texas Medical Center.

Medical
Medical facilities are considered one of the most complex types of construction a contractor can build. G.W. Mitchell & Sons has the personnel and the experience in medical construction to complete hospital or related facilities in an efficient and orderly manner.

Mitchell has built extensive medical facilities on both a competitive bid and negotiated basis. Our firm has successfully built for the major medical entities in San Antonio (Methodist Healthcare, Baptist System, Santa Rosa, St. Lukes, Humana, etc.) and also successfully constructed hospitals as distant as Palestine Texas. Recently, G.W. Mitchell & Sons completed two new hospitals in Jourdanton and Pearsall Texas.

Church Facilities
Our faith is the cornerstone of the Mitchell family. Accordingly, as owners of the company, the Mitchell's consider it a privilege to build a church or other religious facility. Each one of the Mitchell officers have extensive involvement in their respective churches and are comfortable working with church staff and building committees to fulfill the church's construction needs.

G.W. Mitchell & Sons has extensive experience in constructing churches and religious facilities. Some examples include new church campuses at Alamo Heights United Methodist Church and Oak Hills Church of Christ as well as extensive additions and renovations to existing church facilities at First Baptist Church, Castle Hills United Baptist Church, University United Methodist Church, and Coker United Methodist Church.

Retail
G.W. Mitchell & Sons has built retail facilities for H.E.B. over its history and has recently completed several other projects. The recently completed projects include Cavender Chevrolet in Boerne, Huebner Commons Shopping Center and Jennings Anderson Ford in Boerne.

The concept of "time is money" always holds true in construction and is particularly critical in retail construction. The Mitchell team is keenly aware of this concern with respect to an owner of a soon to be open retail operation. This is why we strive to complete every project in the most efficient and timely manner possible.
